Fishers, the Scottish-based commercial laundry and textile rental company, has completed the installation of six Jensen dryers at its laundry in Cupar, Fife, as it prepares for another busy peak season.
Fishers invested £900,000 in the project which was completed within one week and with minimal disruption to Fishers’ customers.
Owned and managed by K-Bro Linen Inc., the largest owner and operator of laundry and linen processing facilities in Canada, Fishers is investing in its infrastructure as it continues to cement its position as an industry leader across Scotland and the North East of England.
Fishers Cupar’s new dryers are part of a continuous improvement programme at the site, following the arrival of new ironing equipment in 2024. These improvements have been made to keep up with the latest innovations in technology and to ensure improved efficiency, allowing Fishers to reduce energy usage, costs and improve the capacity of the site.
This aligns with Fishers’ wider business strategy centred around delivering dependable and sustainable laundry services at scale, to a wide range of customers from hospitality to healthcare.
David Emslie, Operations Director at Fishers, said: “During peak season, we wash, dry and iron more than two million pieces of laundry every week. Continuous improvement to our systems and processes is essential to keep delivering the best laundry services we can for our customers, no matter what size they are.
“We are always looking at ways of innovating to help drive business growth and with the recent investment in new drying equipment we have significantly enhanced our operational capabilities in Cupar.”
